CANADIENS ALUMNI COME TO BURNABY

Posted on Fri, January 11, 2019

The Montreal Canadiens Alumni team is playing for a local charity on Saturday, February 9th at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre.

This special game will be a star-studded event and deliver fun for the entire family with a friendly game against local players, fan engagement activities

during the intermissions, a special appearance by Nearly Neil and a silent auction. The second part of the event will be a post-game reception dinner at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown hotel where hockey fans can meet their favourite players.

All proceeds will go to Burnaby Family Life education and support programs for families and individuals in need.  "In Burnaby, more than 20% of the population and 22% of children under the age of 6 live in poverty. We help the most vulnerable people to promote healthy families, and curb emotional and mental distress. Since 1971, we have worked to make our community welcoming, safe and inclusive for all," says Michel Pouliot, Executive Director of Burnaby Family Life. Come to game, have fun, and feel good about supporting an organization that helps people in need!

There are also opportunities for BMHA teams to sell tickets to the event and receive a portion of their sales back to their team!

The puck drops at 4:30 pm and dinner is at 7:30 pm. For further details and tickets, please visit:

The Burnaby Minor Hockey Association is proud to support this very entertaining and worthy event!
