BMHA is pleased to introduce Microhockey to Burnaby. This one of a kind program offers casual hockey to interested kids between the ages of 6-12 years old. Based on the concepts of Pond Hockey, kids are split into teams and play a free-flowing game of hockey – no scores are kept, no refs*, and no pressure! Designed to be focused on fun, kids are allowed to be creative on the ice and gain skills through some basic instruction but mostly in game situations.

This program is focused on kids who have graduated from the First Shift ( or who want to play hockey on a more casual basis (less commitment than a regular BMHA team).  It can also be a stepping stone to graduate to a BMHA team hockey from the First Shift program.

Based on the successful micro footie program in soccer, Microhockey includes a national team jersey and socks to keep so your player is able to be a “national team” player for Canada, USA, Sweden, Finland, Russia or the Czech Republic.

If gear is an issue, don’t forget that BMHA offers a gear swap every September where you can pick up gently used gear from other players for a very low cost.

Cost for the program: $325. Includes national team jersey and socks
